Bassendean, Rail Heritage WA Museum, exhibit #16, U class Pacific 4-6-2 oil burning steam engine U 655, one of fourteen units built by North British Locomotive Co. in 1942 for war service in North Africa, but never deployed. Introduced in 1947, U 655 spent eighteen months being the Bassendean shunter before being condemned in 1970 and donated to the Museum in 1972.
