BHP's Battery Electric Locomotive 9002, a brand new Wabtec built FLXdrive ™ battery electric locomotive, or BEL, sits at BHP's Nelson Point hard stand area having recently been placed onto rails.
The BEL's, 9001 and 9002 were built by Wabtec at their Erie, Pennsylvania, USA plant and are designated as model FXH70C. Both locos were shipped on the BBC St Petersburg with road transport and lifting provided by Tutt Bryant.
9002 has serial number 66454 and a built date of Dec 2023.
