This waggon was also converted to a WSM type ballast hopper by re-fitting the cut down top section and having bottom discharge doors fitted, converted back to WOB in 1998, and shows signs of heavy re-sheeting, returning empty to Koolyanobbing, 17th Feb 2013.

This waggon is one of the 15 converted to WSM type ballast hoppers by re-fitting the removed top section of the body and fitting bottom discharge doors, converted back to WOB in 1998, and shows signs of heavy re-sheeting and full repainting.

They used to be three metres longer and originally built by Metropolitan Cammell Britain as GB class in 1952-55.

Converted back to WOB in 1997, fleet number not yet applied and having been fully re-sheeted and painted with the new angled lip applied to the top of the body.

PD 1260796 viewsBinduli, WO type iron ore waggon WO 31209 is leader of a batch of sixty two built by Goninan WA between April and August 2000 with serial number 950086-001 and fleet number 105 for Koolyanobbing iron ore operations, and is a Goninan built replacement WO type waggon with a build date of 05/2000, this replaces the original WAGR built WO type waggon with a WOD type with square features opposed to the curved ones as on the original WO. Also note the angled lip extension to the top of the body.
