The ducting on the hood is the air to air intercooler modifications that Robe trialled. Also of note is the unit is fitted with an ALCo C630 fuel tank, swapped when the C630 units were rebuilt into the CM40-8M units. 9th of December 2006.Mar 27, 2018

The ducting on the hood is the air to air intercooler modifications that Robe trialled. Also of note is the unit is fitted with an ALCo C630 fuel tank, swapped when the C630 units were rebuilt into the CM40-8M units. 9th of December 2006.Mar 27, 2018

061209 8227r418 viewsSeven Mile 38 Road, retired Robe River Comeng WA ALCo rebuild model CE636R unit 9427 serial WA143-2 sits stripped of engine, fuel tank and pilots ready for road haulage to Perth for rebuilding and use on FMG rail construction trains in May-June 2007. This unit was originally built by ALCo as C636 serial 3499-2 of January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6331, and was purchased off Conrail as #6781 in 1986 and was rebuilt by Comeng WA prior to delivery in January 1987. 9th December 2006.Mar 27, 2018
