On the afternoon of Friday the 19th of November 2004 a photo was managed with no less than fourteen locos in the shot, seven at the workshops, and seven on trains at the car dumper roads. Locos in the frame are: 3085, 3080, 3092, 5639, 5636, 5667, 6074 at the workshops and, 6073, 3082, 3079, 5640, 5669, 3078, and 5630 on the car dumper roads. Models are EMD SD40R and SD40-2, GE AC6000 and Goninan GE CM40-8M.Jan 30, 2018

050319 0082r803 viewsNelson Point, Ex Southern Pacific SD40T-2 loco 8335 serial 786175-9 built in April 1979 and retired by Union Pacific 23rd May 2001, this unit was purchased as a spares source for the other SD40 style units. The T signifies that it is a Tunnel motor with a modified radiator intake to allow 'cool' running through the Sierra Nevada tunnels. And the 'M' with a lighting rod through it meant that it was a master unit for radio controlled helpers, used in the Tehachapi mountains. 19th March 2005.Jan 25, 2018
