080120 1443r353 viewsRowley Yard which was the name for FMG's marshalling facilities has eleven of the General Electric built C44-9W locomotives lined up, 003, 013, 001, 010, 005, 014, 007, 004, 015, 002 and 011 coupled to ore waggon pair 2264 - 1263, pointing south. 20th January 2008.

213-04351 viewsWeipa, Lorim Point workshops, Comalco R 1001 loco Clyde Engineering built EMD model GT26C serial 72-752 sits at the fuel point, items of note are these units were setup to have the long hood leading, the second 'tropical roof' and the five chime horn cut into the nose. Also noticeable, the units don't have dynamic brakes fitted so there is no brake 'blister' in the middle of the hood like you see on the GT26C models of WAGR L or VR C classes. September 1995.

Comeng WA ALCo rebuild CE636R unit 9426 has already been sent to Perth and sister 9427 is stripped and ready to follow. The other units behind 9427 are ALCo M636 units 9416, 9413, 9415 and 9412. 9th December 2006.

050110 140552r349 viewsHaving departed Ibis Siding five minutes earlier double General Electric built C44-9W Hamersley Iron units 7069 serial 47748 and 7077 serial 47756 work a 230 loaded waggon train heading north between Ibis and Gull sidings. Above the two locos the east mainline can be seen in the background which was part of the second last duplication project from Gull to Tunkawanna and is a single track section with only passing tracks being on the original west mainline section. Monday 10th January 2005.

Be being delivered to Roy Hill's flash butt yard by Doolan's Heavy Haulage. 4th December 2017. View map here.

061209 8240r347 viewsSeven Mile 38 Road, former Robe River AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 unit 9415 serial G6060-6 from February 1972, the final unit in the original order, originally numbered 1715 then 9415 awaits a new owner. The ducting on the hood is the air to air intercooler modifications that Robe trialled. Also of note is the unit is fitted with an ALCo C630 fuel tank, swapped when the C630 units were rebuilt into the CM40-8M units. 9th of December 2006.

050109 182408r345 viewsSeven Mile workshop load testing bay, ex Robe River Goninan CM40-8M unit 9419 serial 8109-10/90-117. 9419 was originally ALCo built C630 serial 3486-3 of October 1967 for Chesapeake & Ohio as #2102. Bought by Robe River in January 1975, rebuilt by Goninan in 1990. Sunday 9th January 2005.

040806 091254r342 viewsGoldsworthy Junction, BHP Goninan GE rebuild CM40-8MEFI 5666 'Taranto' serial 8412-11 / 94-157, was the first unit fitted with Electronic Fuel Injection to the 16FDL engine hence the EFI on the model designation, is in charge of the Weighbridge Calibration train which is situated in the middle of the switches at the Goldsworthy Junction. 5666 will do several trips back and forward over the weighbridge at various speed to allow the technicians to calibrate it as well as having to clear the mainline for loaded and empty train movements. 0915 hrs 6th August 2004.
