200914 778393 viewsPilbara Railways Historical Society museum, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSD-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4002 serial 77733, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.002, then 1705 and finally 9405. 4002 is preserved in an operational state and another claim to fame is it run the Royal Train in NSW February 1954. Donated to the Society in 1979. 14th September 2020.

246-2393 viewsCape Lambert, Robe River locomotive 9420 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 8109-03 / 91-119 from March 1991 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an ALCo Schenectady built C630 serial 3486-4 and built new for Chesapeake & Ohio (USA) as their 2103. It is one of four C630 ALCo units purchased in 1974 and delivered to Robe in January 1975. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. 22nd May 2002.
