Still wearing Australian National green and yellow but with ASR decals as it stands in the yard with a couple of ENH type hopper waggons. 13th January 2006.

060113 2467381 viewsThevenard, narrow gauge loco 1604 departs the yard with empty train 6DD3, 1604 leads a triple consist of Clyde Engineering built EMD JL22C model 1600 / NJ class combination of 1604 serial 71-731 and originally NJ 4, NJ 3 serial 71-730 and 1601 serial 71-728 the original class leader NJ 1, all three units started on the Central Australia Railway in 1971 and were transferred to the Eyre Peninsula in 1981. 1604 and 1601 both renumbered in 2004. 13th January 2006.

PD 12415381 viewsBinduli, WOB type iron ore waggon WOB 31400 is one of a batch of twenty five built by Comeng WA between 1974 and 1975 and converted from Mt Newman high sided waggons by WAGR Midland Workshops with a capacity of 67 tons with fleet number 324 for Koolyanobbing iron ore operations, but purchased by WAGR. This waggon is one of the 15 converted to WSM type ballast hoppers by re-fitting the removed top section of the body and fitting bottom discharge doors, converted back to WOB in 1998, and shows signs of heavy re-sheeting and full repainting.

PD 12608381 viewsBinduli, WO type iron ore waggon WO 31208 is one of a batch of eighty six built by WAGR Midland Workshops between 1967 and March 1968 with fleet number 104 for Koolyanobbing iron ore operations, with a 75 ton and 1018 ft³ capacity, this unit was converted to WOC for coal in 1986 till 1994 when it was re-classed back to WO. Seen here re-sheeted and painted with the body top lip also fitted.
