250-22377 viewsCape Lambert South Yard and Robe River's 9426 a Comeng WA rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Seen here in the South Yard dragging a loaded rake down to the car dumper as yard expansion works are underway to the left. 22nd October 2000.

251-02377 viewsNelson Point, BHP's recently retired Goninan WA ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuild unit 5506 awaits its fate. Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6012-4 and road number 5455 and assigned new serial number 4839-01 / 87-071. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Mt Whaleback, then in 1991 5506 emerged in BHP livery carrying Ethel Creek, it was later changed to Mt Goldsworthy, it was also one of three units to carry the Goldsworthy Joint Venture lettering. 22nd April 2000.

Loaded with an SCF 48' MFGB type container SCFU 482064.

110620 1965r377 viewsWalla Siding, comparison between two BHP ore waggons loaded with Yandi fines of the Golynx design type, 8410 was built in November 2001 for bottom discharge on the Goldsworthy system with serial number 950088-340, while 6834 was built in 2008. The burn or weld marks are still visible on 8410 from when it was in GML service, now converted for rotary service, noticed the filled in end and the angle section along the top edge for support. 20th of June 2011.

It was originally numbered 31391 by WAGR, seen here loaded with fines at Bonnie Vale, 28th May 2006.
