247-1855 viewsCape Lambert, Robe River's 9426 a Comeng WA rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Seen here dragging a loaded 101 waggon rake down to the car dumper from the South Yard at Bells Crossing. Approximate location of train is here. 22nd May 2002.

This waggon was also converted to a WSM type ballast hopper by re-fitting the cut down top section and having bottom discharge doors fitted, converted back to WOB in 1998, on empty train 6418 at Binduli Triangle, 31st July 2010.
