246-10247 viewsCape Lambert, yard view of the then new extension to the south for the West Angelas mine was coming on stream as a Robe River loaded Deepdale train arrives on the main behind the standard quad Dash 8 power with 202 waggons, the just visible siding (rejoining) on the far left will become a compressor waggon holding road, the 6 km and Boat Beach Rd grade crossing are around the corner to the left. Closest to the camera is the extended No. 1 Road which becomes the Empty Car Line from car dumper one for the Deepdale traffic. Next is the original line or Mainline and the third line across is the Loaded Car Line for the West Angelas traffic to the new car dumper 2. 22nd May 2002.

247-32247 viewsNear Cooya Pooya at the 37.5 km on the Robe River Cape Lambert line an empty train is about to pass under the town water supply pipeline and pass through Lockyer Gap behind the standard Robe power of quad CM40-8M or Dash 8 locomotives led by 9425 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 6266-8 / 89-85 from August 1989 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an AE Goodwin built M636 ALCo serial C-6041-4 and built new for Mt Newman Mining (later BHP Iron Ore) in April 1970 and numbered 5468, sold to Robe and delivered by road 17th August 1982. On N2 is a cab comparison between AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 unit 9412 serial G-6060-3 from December 1971 and originally numbered 262.003 during construction and then 1712 on MLW Dofasco bogies with C636R units 9427 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-2 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6331, Penn Central 6331 and finally Conrail 6781. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in January 1987 riding on the ALCo Hi-Ad bogie. This loco also went on to become DR 8403 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Behind it on N3 is 9413. Approximate location. 24th April 2004.
