246-04347 viewsCape Lambert, yard view of the then new extension to the south for the West Angelas mine was coming on stream, the just visible siding (rejoining) on the far left will become a compressor waggon holding road, the 6 km and Boat Beach Rd grade crossing are around the corner to the left. Closest to the camera is the extended No. 1 Road which becomes the Empty Car Line from car dumper one for the Deepdale traffic. Next is the original line or Mainline and the third line across is the Loaded Car Line for the West Angelas traffic to the new car dumper 2. The Boat Beach Rd can be seen on the extreme right. 22nd May 2002.

247-06347 viewsCape Lambert fuel point, Robe River locomotive 9410 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 2160-03 / 96-202 from March 1996 riding on Dofasco bogies and was originally a Comeng NSW built M636 ALCo serial C-6096-5 and built new for Mt Newman Mining (later BHP Iron Ore) in November 1975 and numbered 5500. Everything below the frame is ALCo, with the Comeng build style flat fuel tank, while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. Approximate location of the locos is here. 22nd May 2002.

I think this is an Indeng Qld built NTAF 455 the final of seven such tanks built for Mobil of NSW in 1981. Peter Donaghy image.

110620 2014r347 viewsWalla Siding, comparison between two empty BHP ore waggons with the tapered floor design. 4507 was built by Transfield WA in in 1976 in an order for eighteen waggons, while 4260 is a Goninan WA build from an order of one hundred and twenty-six waggons using 3CR12 stainless steel in an effort to eliminate internal painting and reducing wear on the waggon body, these were designated HC7081. 20th of June 2011.
