246-2637 viewsCape Lambert, a Robe River loaded Deepdale train rolls along the mainline behind the standard quad Dash 8 power with 202 waggons with newly extended roads either side of it. 9425 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 6266-8 / 89-85 from August 1989 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an AE Goodwin built M636 ALCo serial C-6041-4 and built new for Mt Newman Mining (later BHP Iron Ore) in April 1970 and numbered 5468, sold to Robe and delivered by road 17th August 1982. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. 22nd May 2002.

248-2037 viewsSeven Mile yard, stored Robe River ALCo locomotives at the south end of the Hamersley Iron Seven Mile yard on roads N2 and N3. On N2 is AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 unit 9412 serial G-6060-3 from December 1971 and originally numbered 262.003 during construction and then 1712 on MLW Dofasco bogies with C636R units 9427 and 9426 on Hi-Ad bogies. Beside it on N3 is 9416 also an AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 serial G-6046-16 from January 1973 and originally numbered 1716 on MLW Dofasco bogies but with a C630 fuel tank in place of the original M636 and larger tank. Budd in 1939 numbered 301 as the Silver Star, a diner-parlour-observation coach on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's General Pershing Zephyr train from the 1930s and 1940s. Donated to Mt Newman Mining Co. by AMAX an original joint venture partner to commemorate the projects first 100 million tonnes of iron ore railed between Mount Whaleback mine and the Port Hedland port. 12th of April 2002.
