246-10347 viewsCape Lambert, yard view of the then new extension to the south for the West Angelas mine was coming on stream as a Robe River loaded Deepdale train arrives on the main behind the standard quad Dash 8 power with 202 waggons, the just visible siding (rejoining) on the far left will become a compressor waggon holding road, the 6 km and Boat Beach Rd grade crossing are around the corner to the left. Closest to the camera is the extended No. 1 Road which becomes the Empty Car Line from car dumper one for the Deepdale traffic. Next is the original line or Mainline and the third line across is the Loaded Car Line for the West Angelas traffic to the new car dumper 2. 22nd May 2002.

248-16347 viewsSeven Mile yard, stored Robe River ALCo locomotives at the south end of the Hamersley Iron Seven Mile yard on roads N2 and N3. On road N2 is 9426 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Behind it is sister unit 9427 and ALCo M636 9412. Approximate location. 24th April 2004.

253-04347 viewsDugite near the 64 km on the Dampier - Tom Price railway, as an empty Hamersley Iron ore train sits in the passing track behind General Electric 9-44CW unit 7066 with serial number 47745 as a loaded rolls by on the mainline behind sister 9-44CW unit 7078 serial number 47757. Both of these units are from the original order and built in October 1994.

256-33347 viewsAt the 89.6 km grade crossing the loaded train behind the quad CM40-8M working of 9414, 9420, 9410 and 9425 rolls across the crossing and heads down the 1.26 percent grade. 9414 was built by AE Goodwin NSW as an ALCo M636 model in December 1971 with serial number G-6060-5 and part of the original order for five units. Locomotive was delivered to Robe River in January 1972 with Bechtel Pacific road umber 262.005 for construction use and was renumbered 1714 when that was completed. 9414 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in November 1991 to become an CM40-8M model with serial number 8206-11 / 91-124. May 2002.

030712 142923347 viewsNelson Point, empty BHP ore waggon 9020, the prototype leader originally built by Comeng in Mittagong NSW as a part of seven prototype ore waggons made from low carbon 301 stainless steel with an higher volume and aerodynamic flat sides and were bogieless with four independent radial wheel sets. Of the seven waggon, the first four had a flat floor and final three had a drop belly floor. The radial wheel sets were later replaced with conventional bogies. 12th of July 2003.

In service with two loaded 20' half height hard top 'rotainers' lettered CRM, for Cristal Mining before they were absorbed into Tronox, CRM 000633 with Cristal decal and yellow corner posts and CRM 001163 with Tronox decal and yellow corner posts, on Aurizon's Tronox mineral sands train 4UP1 from Ivanhoe / Broken Hill (NSW) to Kwinana (WA). 20th of October 2023.

240401 4991347 viewsKalgoorlie, Aurizon's 1029 Malcolm Freighter, waggon AQIY 00013 loaded with two 20' sulphur containers, a 25U0 hard top BISU 100024[0] and a 55UA roll top Bis Industries SBIU 200636[0]. The AQIY were originally built as the CQYY but CFCLA did not buy them, Bradken then stored them as KQYY. When Aurizon bought them they had the handbrake relocated to the middle of the waggon from the end. 1st of April 2024.

Retired in December 1972 and donated to the Society in 1976. July 1, 2024.

100731 02353346 viewsWO type iron ore waggon WO 31224 is one of a batch of eighty six built by WAGR Midland Workshops between 1967 and March 1968 with fleet number 119 for Koolyanobbing iron ore operations, with a 75 ton and 1018 ft³ capacity, on loaded train 6413 at Binduli Triangle, 31st July 2010. This unit was converted to WOC for coal in 1986 till 1994 when it was re-classed back to WO.
