It was donated from the Public Works Department at Point Samson in 1976. A picture of it in service can be found here at Weston Langford site. 14th September 2020.

251-00563 viewsNelson Point, BHP's retired Goninan WA's ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuilds, these were the first time in the world that an ALCo C636 had been rebuilt into an GE C36-7, are lined up near the service shop awaiting their fate. The line is 5510, 5506, 5508, 5512, 5513, 5507, 5509, 5511, and, 5513. They had recently been displaced due to the arrival of the AC6000 units which also took their name plates. Only two units would go on to survive 5507 and 5508. 22nd April 2000.
