248-1574 viewsSeven Mile yard, stored Robe River ALCo locomotives at the south end of the Hamersley Iron Seven Mile yard on roads N2 and N3. On road N2 is 9426 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Behind it is sister unit 9427 and ALCo M636 9412. Approximate location. 24th April 2004.

On road N2 is 9427 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-2 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6331, Penn Central 6331 and finally Conrail 6781. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in January 1987. This loco also went on to become DR 8403 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. 251-0374 viewsNelson Point, BHP's recently retired Goninan WA ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuild unit 5508 awaits its fate. Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6041-2 and road number 5466 and assigned new serial number 4839-04 / 87-073. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Fortescue. It also carried the marigold and teal version of the Australia map as part of the BHP logo. In 2003 it was fully rebuilt and leased to Pilbara Rail in that livery and numbered 5052. It survives stored at 7 mile complex as at Dec 2021. 22nd April 2000.

267-1774 viewsGoldsworthy Junction, the Sundowner Special is on the Newman mainline leg of the Goldsworthy Junction and triangle, with the Sundowner coach in between CM40-8M GE unit 5634 'Boodarie' serial number 8151-07 / 91-120 and sister CM40-8M 5653. This train, and the empty before it, were delayed due to a jamming switch for the transfer road where Tamper 2 and Ballast Regulator 31 can be seen holding track. The road curving around to the left is the Goldsworthy mainline to Boodarie and Finucane Island. Friday 12th of April 2002.

267-3074 viewsAt the 39 km, Goninan rebuild CM40-8M unit 5634 'Boodarie' serial number 8151-07 / 91-120 stands with the Sundowner Special alongside the AEI reader at the 39 km detector site on the Newman mainline. This was a special for the 25 years of the Alstom / BHP service agreement. Friday 12th of April 2002.

110620 1959r74 viewsWalla Siding, BHP ore waggon 9070 loaded with Yandi fines, renumbered from 2821, originally built in 1971 by Comeng WA as part of a batch of four hundred waggons. The renumbering would be due to a new waggon replacing a potential scrap waggon, which then has been returned to service. 20th of June 2011.

110620 1965r74 viewsWalla Siding, comparison between two BHP ore waggons loaded with Yandi fines of the Golynx design type, 8410 was built in November 2001 for bottom discharge on the Goldsworthy system with serial number 950088-340, while 6834 was built in 2008. The burn or weld marks are still visible on 8410 from when it was in GML service, now converted for rotary service, noticed the filled in end and the angle section along the top edge for support. 20th of June 2011.
