246-0926 viewsCape Lambert, yard view of the then new extension to the south for the West Angelas mine was coming on stream as a Robe River loaded Deepdale train arrives on the main behind the standard quad Dash 8 power with 202 waggons, the just visible siding (rejoining) on the far left will become a compressor waggon holding road, the 6 km and Boat Beach Rd grade crossing are around the corner to the left. Closest to the camera is the extended No. 1 Road which becomes the Empty Car Line from car dumper one for the Deepdale traffic. Next is the original line or Mainline and the third line across is the Loaded Car Line for the West Angelas traffic to the new car dumper 2. 22nd May 2002.

August 2003. The view to the left is much changed as FMG now has five berths along with Roy Hill and BHP Harriet Point.

247-3626 viewsNear Cooya Pooya at the 37.5 km on the Robe River Cape Lambert line an empty train passes under the town water supply pipeline and pass through Lockyer Gap behind the standard Robe power of quad CM40-8M or Dash 8 locomotives led by 9425 with 9410, 9420 and last unit 9414 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 8206-11 / 91-124 from November 1991 riding on Dofasco bogies and was originally an AE Goodwin built M636 ALCo built new for Robe in December 1971 and numbered 262.005, later numbered 1714. Location is here.22nd May 2002.

251-0126 viewsNelson Point, BHP's recently retired Goninan WA ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuild unit 5510 awaits its fate. Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6027-2 and road number 5458 and assigned new serial number 4839-07 / 87-075. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Newman. It received Dash 8 radiators following collision damage in 1993. 22nd April 2000.

Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6012-4 and road number 5455 and assigned new serial number 4839-01 / 87-071. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Mt Whaleback, then in 1991 5506 emerged in BHP livery carrying Ethel Creek, it was later changed to Mt Goldsworthy, it was also one of three units to carry the Goldsworthy Joint Venture lettering. 22nd April 2000.

Rebuilt in 1988 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1970 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6041-1 and road number 5465 and assigned new serial number 4839-01 / 88-077. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Hesta. 22nd April 2000.

283-3426 viewsNear Woodbrook as quad Robe River CM40-8M units 9414, 9420, 9410 and 9525 work a loaded 202 waggons bound for Cape Lambert as they pass through the cutting at the 37.5 km pipe bridge. 9420 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 8109-03 / 91-119 from March 1991 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an ALCo Schenectady built C630 serial 3486-4 and built new for Chesapeake & Ohio (USA) as their 2103. It is one of four C630 ALCo units purchased in 1974 and delivered to Robe in January 1975. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. 22nd May 2002.

Everything below the frame is ALCo, with the Comeng build style flat fuel tank, while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. 22nd May 2002.

248-1425 viewsDingo Siding on the Hamersley Iron railway at the 39 km with an empty train headed up by a pair of General Electric built Dash 9-44CW units 7077 serial 47756 from the original first order in the Pepsi Can livery and 9408 serial 54158 from the fourth order in the Pilbara Rail livery with Robe ownership markings powers away to the south back onto the mainline with the signal marker board DI19 for Dingo 19. 248-2225 viewsSeven Mile yard, stored Robe River ALCo locomotives at the south end of the Hamersley Iron Seven Mile yard on roads N2 and N3. On N2 is a cab comparison between AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 unit 9412 serial G-6060-3 from December 1971 and originally numbered 262.003 during construction and then 1712 on MLW Dofasco bogies with C636R units 9427 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-2 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6331, Penn Central 6331 and finally Conrail 6781. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in January 1987 riding on the ALCo Hi-Ad bogie. This loco also went on to become DR 8403 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Behind it on N3 is 9413. Approximate location. 24th April 2004.
