180616 1881367 viewsWestern Creek, the train on the middle track lead by Rio Tinto loco 8153 with serial 58813 a GE Erie built GE model ES44DCi from the 4th order in Rio Tinto Stripes livery leading two Dash 9-44CW units in the Pilbara Rail livery with ROBE ownership markings with a loaded bound for Cape Lambert and running on the Western Creek West mainline at the 74 km with the bridges over Western Creek and the train stretching back up into Emu Siding. The track in the foreground is the mainline to Dampier with the line in the background the Western Creek East mainline to Cape Lambert. 16th June 2018. GeoData.

247-09367 viewsCape Lambert fuel point, Robe River locomotive 9420 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 8109-03 / 91-119 from March 1991 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an ALCo Schenectady built C630 serial 3486-4 and built new for Chesapeake & Ohio (USA) as their 2103. It is one of four C630 ALCo units purchased in 1974 and delivered to Robe in January 1975. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. Approximate location of the locos is here. 22nd May 2002.

196-09366 viewsYandi Two loaded car side of the loadout balloon loop, BHP Iron Ore CM40-8M or Dash 8 motive power in the form of 5658 'Kakogawa' serial 8412-03 / 94-149 rebuilt by Goninan as GE model CM40-8M from ALCo M636C number 5480 and two new Goninan built GE CM39-8 units 5630 'Zeus' serial 5831-09 / 88-079 and 5631 'Apollo' serial 5831-10 / 88-080 are the head end power with another two CM40-8M units mid-train. Train length is 240 waggons with a 120/120 split. Yandi Two ore stockpile and pedestal stacker boom tip visible in the background, the loadout operates via gravity and the train travels through a tunnel. May 1998.
