At the time of this image Siding 3 or Murray Camp was unable to cross ore trains so Siding One - Harding or Siding Two - Maitland were used. May 2002.

256-2732 viewsMaitland Siding, Robe River CM40-8M unit 9419 on an empty train. 9419 was built by ALCo Schenectady NY USA as an ALCo C630 model in October 1967 with serial number 3486-03 for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Company (USA) with road number 2102. It was purchased by Morrison Knudsen for Robe River (along with three sister units) and delivered in January 1975 and repainted and renumbered as 9419 on arrival. 9419 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in October 1990 to become an CM40-8M model with serial number 8109-10 / 90-117. May 2002.

110620 2014r32 viewsWalla Siding, comparison between two empty BHP ore waggons with the tapered floor design. 4507 was built by Transfield WA in in 1976 in an order for eighteen waggons, while 4260 is a Goninan WA build from an order of one hundred and twenty-six waggons using 3CR12 stainless steel in an effort to eliminate internal painting and reducing wear on the waggon body, these were designated HC7081. 20th of June 2011.

030712 14224232 viewsNelson Point, empty BHP ore waggon 9021, originally built by Comeng in Mittagong NSW as a part of seven prototype ore waggons made from low carbon 301 stainless steel with an higher volume and aerodynamic flat sides and were bogieless with four independent radial wheel sets. Of the seven waggon, the first four had a flat floor and final three had a drop belly floor. The radial wheel sets were later replaced with conventional bogies. 12th of July 2003.

The DZ 11-95 code was the late time it was internally painted to reduce wear and the SL 76 with 90 below it was the last time the Miner SL-76 draft gear was replaced. 12th of July 2003.

Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. Approximate location of the locos is here. 22nd May 2002.
