256-2225 viewsMaitland Siding, Robe River CM40-8M unit 9417 (2nd) leading an empty train into the passing track. 9417 was the first CM40-8M rebuild carried out by Goninan in 1989, it was originally an ALCo built C636 unit for Spokane Portland & Seattle numbered 340 with serial number 6010-1, it went onto to be Burlington Northern 4366 and then purchased for Robe River in late 1980 as a parts source. When finally rebuilt by Goninan in June 1989 it had new serial number of 6266-5 / 89-83 and replaced the original 9417 which was scrapped in 1979. May 2002.

256-2625 viewsMaitland Siding, Robe River CM40-8M unit 9418 on an empty train. 9418 was built by ALCo Schenectady NY USA as an ALCo C630 model in October 1967 with serial number 3486-02 for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Company (USA) with road number 2101. It was purchased by Morrison Knudsen for Robe River (along with three sister units) and delivered in January 1975 and repainted and renumbered as 9418 on arrival. 9418 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in December 1990 to become an CM40-8M model with serial number 8109-12 / 90-118. May 2002.

190129 434425 viewsBinduli, on Mineral Resources Ltd loaded iron ore train service from Koolyanobbing to Esperance #3033 with MRL's MHPY type iron ore waggon MHPY 00221 built by CSR Yangtze Co China serial 2014/382-221 in 2014 as a batch of 382 units, these bottom discharge hopper waggons are operated in 'married' pairs.

140601 446825 viewsWoodbridge, empty Carina bound iron ore train #1035, CFCLA leased CHCH type waggon CHCH 7745 these waggons were rebuilt between 2010 and 2012 by Bluebird Rail Operations SA from former Goldsworthy Mining hopper waggons originally built by Tomlinson WA and Scotts of Ipswich Qld back in the 60's to early 80's. 1st June 2014.

268-2225 viewsAt the 39 km detection site with the Alstom 25-year special, the Sundowner coach, originally built by E. G. Budd in 1939 numbered 301 as the Silver Star, a diner-parlour-observation coach on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's General Pershing Zephyr train from the 1930s and 1940s. Donated to Mt Newman Mining Co. by AMAX an original joint venture partner to commemorate the projects first 100 million tonnes of iron ore railed between Mount Whaleback mine and the Port Hedland port. 12th of April 2002.

283-2525 viewsHarding Siding, Robe River locomotive 9410 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 2160-03 / 96-202 from March 1996 riding on Dofasco bogies and was originally a Comeng NSW built M636 ALCo serial C-6096-5 and built new for Mt Newman Mining (later BHP Iron Ore) in November 1975 and numbered 5500. Everything below the frame is ALCo, with the Comeng build style flat fuel tank, while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. 22nd of May 2002.

Recoded to VQFY in 1985, then to RQFY in 1994, then National Rail RQFF in 1995. Loaded with a 40' curtain sider container FICU 000002.
