Rebuilt in 1988 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from a 1970 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6012-2 and road number 5453 and assigned new serial number 4839-02 / 88-078. It was delivered in Mount Newman Mining orange and was named Kalgan. Late 2001.

Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from a 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6027-2 and road number 5458 and assigned new serial number 4839-07 / 87-075. It was delivered in Mount Newman Mining orange and was named Newman. Of note is the Dash 8 radiator frame, the unit was converted to a Dash 8 radiator following loadout damage. Late 2001.
