Also noticeable, the units don't have dynamic brakes fitted so there is no brake 'blister' in the middle of the hood like you see on the GT26C models of WAGR L or VR C classes. September 1995.

R 1003 is an Electro Motive built NW2 model with serial number 4114 and frame number of E761-8 was built in November 1946 at La Grange originally for Canadian National with road number 7943. Sold to Comalco in December 1975 and entered service in 1976. This unit was subsequently scrapped in 2000.

061209 8231r749 viewsSeven Mile 38 Road, former Robe River AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 unit 9416 serial G6046-16 awaits a new owner. 9416 was originally built for Hamersley Iron as #4045 and was purchased by Robe right before shipping to Hamersley Iron and entered service in February 1973. The ducting on the hood is the air to air intercooler modifications that Robe trialled. Also of note is the unit is fitted with an ALCo C630 fuel tank, swapped when the C630 units were rebuilt into the CM40-8M units. 9th of December 2006.
