060528 4520304 viewsWest Kalgoorlie, Pacific National BRS type crew accommodation coach BRS 221, originally built by Victorian Railways Newport Workshops in November 1940 as an AS type first class sitting car for the Spirit of Progress as AS 6, in April 1983 converted to a combined sitting accommodation and a mini refreshment service as BRS type BRS 1, then in September 1985 renumbered to BRS 221. Sold to West Coast Railway mid 1990s, converted to crew car after 2004.

Destroyed at the Jumperkine collision in December 2019.

Recoded to AVDY in October 1982, then to AVDP. Sold to WCR, then in October 2000 overhauled for crew car use and coded VPAY 1 on SCT services and owned by Freight Australia. Was later sold to Pacific National and subsequently scrapped 2016.

The AQRY are a bar-coupled pair and were used for rail transport as the AFRF type on the Darwin line and are originally former ANR-CR waggons.
