061209 8231r642 viewsSeven Mile 38 Road, former Robe River AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 unit 9416 serial G6046-16 awaits a new owner. 9416 was originally built for Hamersley Iron as #4045 and was purchased by Robe right before shipping to Hamersley Iron and entered service in February 1973. The ducting on the hood is the air to air intercooler modifications that Robe trialled. Also of note is the unit is fitted with an ALCo C630 fuel tank, swapped when the C630 units were rebuilt into the CM40-8M units. 9th of December 2006.55555

This unit was originally built by ALCo as C636 serial 3499-2 of January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6331, and was purchased off Conrail as #6781 in 1986 and was rebuilt by Comeng WA prior to delivery in January 1987. 9th December 2006.55555
