Disc 6A is for movements across Humffray Street to Loco with Disc 6 for departing movements. Disc signal Post 5A on the left for down trains from No. 1 Road to the Goods Arrival Road or Siding Y, double bracket Post 5 (with removed right Arm) left had Arm is from No. 2 Road to Passenger Line to Post 11 and controlled from A Box, the staff exchange platform is for the former line to Buninyong.

This reduced signal post now only contains the Up Home Up Passenger Line to No. 1 Road to Post 4 at Ballarat East platform and the Calling On Up Passenger Line to No. 1 Road. The stripped left hand mast was for movements from the Goods Departure Road and the Goods Sidings.

Discs are all From 'U', top left to Car Sidings, centre left Disc towards Post 21 for No. 1 Road, bottom left Disc towards Post 22 for No. 2 Road, top right Disc towards Post 23 for No. 3 Road, centre right Disc towards Post 20 for No. 4 Road and the right bottom Disc to No. 5, 6 or 7 Roads.

Not long after this view was taken the interlocked yard at Ballarat was rationalised and electrified with point motors and colour light signals taking over and all the old interlocked sidings had their interlocking removed. The top left hand Disc to the Car Sidings behind the station, centre left Disc towards Post No. 21 for No. 1 Road, removed bottom left Disc was towards Post No. 22 for No. 2 Road (also removed), top right hand Disc to Post No. 23 for No. 3 Road, centre right Disc towards Post No. 20 for No. 4 Road and the bottom right Disc to point 'D' towards Post No. 14 which led into the back road and the goods sheds and platforms.

The manual interlocked gates of Lydiard St are just visible through the road overbridge. Left hand Arm Up Home Up Line to 'A' to Post 29 for No. 4 Road, middle Arm Up Home Up Line to 'B' to Post 27 or 28 for No. 3 or 2 Roads and the right Arm Up Home Up Line to 'C' to Post 26 for No. 1 Road.
