139-17406 viewsBallarat, looking towards Lydiard St from Armstrong St bridge, semaphore signal Posts 30 and 30A, 30A are 'co-acting' signals for Post 30, operated from Ballarat Signal Box B at Lydiard St, this junction goes from double track to triple and used to be four roads through the station building. The manual interlocked gates of Lydiard St are just visible through the road overbridge. Left hand Arm Up Home Up Line to 'A' to Post 29 for No. 4 Road, middle Arm Up Home Up Line to 'B' to Post 27 or 28 for No. 3 or 2 Roads and the right Arm Up Home Up Line to 'C' to Post 26 for No. 1 Road.

Disc signal Post 5A on the left for down trains from No. 1 Road to the Goods Arrival Road or Siding Y, double bracket Post 5 (with removed right Arm) left had Arm is from No. 2 Road to Passenger Line to Post 11 and controlled from A Box, the staff exchange platform is for the former line to Buninyong.
