Goninan GE rebuild unit 5656 a CM40-8M unit with serial number 8412-01 / 94-147 sits on shed with a sister units. This facility was used to service and fuel locomotives while their respective waggon rakes were being tipped through the car dumpers. 22nd April 2000.

256-27159 viewsMaitland Siding, Robe River CM40-8M unit 9419 on an empty train. 9419 was built by ALCo Schenectady NY USA as an ALCo C630 model in October 1967 with serial number 3486-03 for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Company (USA) with road number 2102. It was purchased by Morrison Knudsen for Robe River (along with three sister units) and delivered in January 1975 and repainted and renumbered as 9419 on arrival. 9419 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in October 1990 to become an CM40-8M model with serial number 8109-10 / 90-117. May 2002.

This was a special for the 25 years of the Alstom / BHP service agreement. Friday 12th of April 2002.

Friday 12th of April 2002.

Visible is the ODCX code and number 82190 from the Oroville Dam Construction company days in the USA. Unsure of the MS6-82 code, the DZ 11-95 code was the late time it was internally painted to reduce wear and the SL 76 with 92 below it was the last time the Miner SL-76 draft gear was replaced. The orange smiley sticker indicates that this is an original 'Oroville Dam' ore waggon and non relayed AB braked. 12th of July 2003.
