234-35367 viewsYandi Two, BHP Iron Ore Goninan rebuild CM40-8M GE unit 5658 'Kakogawa' serial 8412-03 / 94-149 on the front of a 240 waggon loaded train, this configuration was trialled for a time with two Dash 8 locos, 120 waggons, Dash 8, 120 waggons and Dash 8. View looking across the YT315.8 km grade crossing and 5658 back to the ore stockpile at the loadout. Circa 1998.

Closest to the camera is the extended No. 1 Road which becomes the Empty Car Line from car dumper one for the Deepdale traffic. Next is the original line or Mainline and the third line across is the Loaded Car Line for the West Angelas traffic to the new car dumper 2. 22nd May 2002.
