Locomotive was delivered to Robe River in January 1972 with Bechtel Pacific road umber 262.005 for construction use and was renumbered 1714 when that was completed. 9414 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in November 1991 to become an CM40-8M model with serial number 8206-11 / 91-124. On road N2 is 9426 a Comeng WA C636R rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania Railroad as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Behind it is sister unit 9427 and ALCo M636 9412. Approximate location. 24th April 2004.
