256-35277 viewsAt the 89.6 km grade crossing the loaded train behind the quad CM40-8M working of 9414, 9420, 9410 and 9425 rolls across the crossing and heads down the 1.26 percent grade. 9410 (2nd) was built by Comeng NSW as an ALCo M636 model in November 1975 with serial number C6098-05 for Mount Neman Mining with road number 5500, it was sent to Goninan but not rebuilt. Eventually sold to Robe and rebuilt by Goninan WA to an CM40-8M model in March 1996 with serial number 2160-03/96-202. May 2002.

283-24277 viewsHarding Siding, Robe River locomotive 9420 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 8109-03 / 91-119 from March 1991 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an ALCo Schenectady built C630 serial 3486-4 and built new for Chesapeake & Ohio (USA) as their 2103. It is one of four C630 ALCo units purchased in 1974 and delivered to Robe in January 1975. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. 22nd May 2002.
