256-3618 viewsAt the 89.6 km grade crossing the loaded train behind the quad CM40-8M working of 9414, 9420, 9410 and 9425 rolls across the crossing and heads down the 1.26 percent grade. 9425 was built by AE Goodwin NSW as an ALCo C636 in April 1970 with serial G-6041-4 for Mount Newman Mining with road number 5468. It was sold to Robe in August 1982 and repainted and renumbered to 9425. 9425 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in August 1989 to become an CM40-8M model with serial 6266-8 / 89-85. May 2002.

The four styles of waggon in use are visible, behind the loco are three Golynx waggons, then a number of Gunderson USA builds, the ribbed type is a Portec USA built and then following are the Tomlinson WA and Scotts of Ipswich built 70 ton waggons. Budd in 1939 numbered 301 as the Silver Star, a diner-parlour-observation coach on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's General Pershing Zephyr train from the 1930s and 1940s. Donated to Mt Newman Mining Co. by AMAX an original joint venture partner to commemorate the projects first 100 million tonnes of iron ore railed between Mount Whaleback mine and the Port Hedland port. 12th of April 2002.

283-2618 viewsHarding Siding, Robe River locomotive 9425 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 6266-8 / 89-85 from August 1989 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an AE Goodwin built M636 ALCo serial C-6041-4 and built new for Mt Newman Mining (later BHP Iron Ore) in April 1970 and numbered 5468, sold to Robe and delivered by road 17th August 1982. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab.

The renumbering would be due to a new waggon replacing a potential scrap waggon, which then has been returned to service. 20th of June 2011.
