257-00131 viewsFlash Butt yard BHP's stored Goninan WA ALCo C636 to GE C36-7M rebuild unit 5513 awaits its fate. Rebuilt in 1988 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from a 1970 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6012-2 and road number 5453 and assigned new serial number 4839-02 / 88-078. It was delivered in Mount Newman Mining orange and was named Kalgan. Late 2001.

Budd in 1939 numbered 301 as the Silver Star, a diner-parlour-observation coach on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's General Pershing Zephyr train from the 1930s and 1940s. Donated to Mt Newman Mining Co. by AMAX an original joint venture partner to commemorate the projects first 100 million tonnes of iron ore railed between Mount Whaleback mine and the Port Hedland port. 12th of April 2002.

Friday 12th of April 2002.

Visible is the ODCX code and number 82190 from the Oroville Dam Construction company days in the USA. The DZ 11-95 code was the late time it was internally painted to reduce wear and the SL 76 with 90 below it was the last time the Miner SL-76 draft gear was replaced. The orange smiley sticker indicates that this is an original 'Oroville Dam' ore waggon and non relayed AB braked. 12th of July 2003.

The Vlaanderen XI was originally built in 1978 by IHC Dredgers with yard number 1108 and originally named New Amsterdam, named the Vlaanderen XI in 1986, renamed again in 2007 to Kaveri and again to Huta 15 in 2014.

240701 2759130 viewsPilbara Railways Historical Society museum, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSC-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4002 serial 77733, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.002, then 1705 and finally 9405. 4002 is preserved in an operational state and another claim to fame is it run the Royal Train in NSW February 1954. Donated to the Society in 1979. July 1, 2024.
