In this April 1987 view the process has started with the bogies and fuel tank removed. By February 1988 it would be the final C36-7M built for Mt Newman Mining as 5513. April 1987.

200914 7784101 viewsPilbara Railways Historical Society museum, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSD-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4002 serial 77733, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.002, then 1705 and finally 9405. 4002 is preserved in an operational state and another claim to fame is it run the Royal Train in NSW February 1954. Donated to the Society in 1979. 14th September 2020.

234-01100 viewsYandi Two, BHP Iron Ore Goninan rebuild CM40-8M GE unit 5640 'Ethel Creek' serial 8281-05 / 92-129 is on the rear of a 240 waggon loaded train, this configuration was trialled for a time with two Dash 8 locos, 120 waggons, Dash 8, 120 waggons and Dash 8. As this series of rebuilds has no marker lights not the red lantern attached to the hand rail. Circa 1998.
